About This

  • 🌱 TOTALLY UNIQUE: Handcrafted in the Northeastern villages of Thailand, this “Super Sanctuary SIAM Orchid Kit” Bird Nest” style of hanging baskets is beautifully designed for both form and function. The dark coffee color is created from soaking the reeds and allowing them to dry by the fire.
  • 🌱 SKILLFULLY CRAFTED: Our “SUPER SANCTUARY” baskets made exclusively by PANWA. This kit is specially designed to cultivate your orchid like a professional Thai orchid farmer. Check out the video to see exactly how the pros do it here in Thailand. Along with the tropical weather, it’s the Thai coconut foundation that is key to how they propagate.
  • 🌱 HAND WOVEN: Individually handcrafted and designed to endure daily use, this multi-functional plant hanger and associated coconut by products adorn the garden walls and entrance ways to many Thai Temple gardens and are functionally designed to allow water to drain even if drenched in a monsoon rain. The metal hangar will fade to an oxidized patina over time that will also match the color of the dark reeds.
  • 🌱 BASKET SIZE: Container radius at widest point is ~6 inches and the length is approximately 19 inches top to bottom (reeds vary slightly, as they are not mass produced) not including the metal hanging hook, which can be adjusted. These are ideal for larger plants, orchid medleys, vines, floras, cuttings that can be directed rooted in in the coconut pith and husk mulch. See video for best placement.
  • 🌱 EASY CARE, SIMPLE TO CLEAN: Rinse with water and these beautiful decor baskets are quick to air dry in the sunlight. Please note that; as these handmade hanging baskets are individually constructed, there may be slight variations in color shade and/or may contain common bamboo fleck blemishes that occur naturally during each rendition of the drying process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about growing a beautiful garden

The best time to plant vegetables depends on your climate zone. Generally, cool-season crops like lettuce and peas thrive in early spring, while warm-season crops like tomatoes and peppers should be planted after the last frost date.
Most gardens need about 1 inch of water per week, either from rainfall or irrigation. Water deeply but less frequently to encourage strong root growth. Early morning is the best time to water to minimize evaporation and disease.
Loamy soil with good drainage is ideal for most plants. It should be rich in organic matter, have a pH between 6.0-7.0, and retain moisture while allowing excess water to drain. Adding compost annually improves soil structure and fertility.
Companion planting, crop rotation, and encouraging beneficial insects are effective natural pest control methods. Marigolds deter many pests, while ladybugs and lacewings eat aphids. Regular inspection and hand-picking larger pests also helps.
